Cultivating Corn

Gotta be careful when you're cultivating corn. Drive between the rows...

A little carelessness can tear out the corn, instead of the weeds...

Steady hand on the wheel...

Keep looking ahead (looking back can be disastrous)...

It's a tedious job. Long hours driving back and forth in the field. Those who long for a taste of the "simple life" can apply between the hours of 5 and 7 a.m. (It's cool then.) We'll put you right to work...

  2. When I was a child, we had four-wheelers we would ride out at my uncle's farm. One time, after the corn had been harvested, there was a small row of about 5 stalks still standing. I thought I'd be cute and run em down. Well I'm sure you can guess who got the last laugh - the corn! Ear after ear came tumbling down on my head as I plowed along.

    Love your pics,
