The Farmer recently spun a 3-ply from our Polypay roving. Last weekend, he entered it in the skein competition at the Michigan Fiber Festival.
He won not just one, but two (!) ribbons for his entry. Wow...
In other Fiber Festival news, I enjoyed talking with friends and meeting new people (some of them "imaginary" friends from the internet). I oohed and aahed over a lot of luscious fiber, and bought a few things to take home with me. Fiber festival is always a great time! Though next year they could order some cooler weather. It was downright drippy this past weekend...
Lona,
ReplyDeleteNice to get to visit with you at MFF. Great looking yarn. Congrats to Mike on the riboons he won. Makes one want to get the wheel going, but the tomatoes are beckoning.
Ellyn--it WAS nice to visit, wasn't it? That's one of the benefits of going on Sunday. (Although it would have been nicer for the vendors if they were too busy to talk!)
ReplyDeleteRemember, there is a time for everything under the sun. A time for spinning and a time for canning tomatoes. Etc.
Hey, tell him congratulations! It was nice to meet you in real life, although I second that order for some cooler weather.
ReplyDeletebeautiful yarn! It's hot everywhere this summer it seems.
